“Squat, Bend, Kneel, and Die“, is an experimental duet inspired by a work by Cuban artist, Ana Mendieta. Judith and Moya are experimenting  with the stereotypes of women of color in western societies, such as exoticism of black bodies, and other clichéd  expectations.  Judith says: “ We became so obedient to the modern system of success today that we tend to behave jeopardizing our  authentic voice and passion. Ana Mendieta’s work still resonates strongly with  our contemporary situation. Racist and sexist prejudices lay in our everyday life, and in my work I want to challenge this  dynamic of “otherness”. Borders, transitions, thresholds, fences, ditches, and walls prevent universal changes and  exchanges.”
